Hello, my name is
Seth Elliott.
A Software Engineer specializing in web & app development.
Software Engineer at Sunrun. I build production web apps with Next.js and SvelteKit — from Salesforce-integrated internal tools to full-stack products like Route Zero.

A bit about me
Engineering robust, intuitive digital experiences with a blend of frontend expertise and backend know-how.
🎓 A.Sc. + B.Sc.in Web Design & Development from Utah Valley University.
My Current Tech Stack
Full-stack builder
I move fluidly between frontend and backend — building component systems in Svelte and React, and the APIs, databases, and integrations that power them. That range shows up in production work like a Salesforce-integrated internal tool at Sunrun and Route Zero, a full-stack app backed by Postgres and a live third-party catalog API.
Design-minded
Clean architecture and clean design come from the same instinct: build systems that stay maintainable as they grow. I structure component libraries, state, and interactions with reuse and accessibility in mind from the start, not bolted on afterward.
Ships with teams
Direct, transparent communication is what turns a plan into a shipped product. At Sunrun, that meant owning requirements gathering and aligning engineering and design stakeholders end-to-end on a team-wide internal tool.
Where I’ve Worked
My Experience
- Remote
Software Engineer @ Sunrun
June 2019 – Present- Independently architected and delivered a high-performance web application using Next.js, TypeScript, and Mantine UI, streamlining internal workflows for the New Homes Design team.
- Automated CRM data sync via the Salesforce REST API and built Python backend services for data processing, eliminating manual input and reducing design errors.
- Integrated AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) for scalable backend data management, storing and retrieving user inputs and design data with improved performance.
- Connected application outputs to AutoCAD workflows via LISP scripting and CSV exports, and integrated structural/electrical analysis calculations across engineering teams — enhancing design team productivity.
- Built a modular, scalable design system with Mantine UI, ensuring visual consistency and maintainability across components.
- Developed and maintained CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment, ensuring reliable, high-quality releases.
- Owned project management for the application end-to-end — gathering requirements, coordinating priorities, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders across engineering and design teams.
- Onboarded design staff onto the new tech stack, enabling them to leverage AI tooling to build and integrate features independently.
- Remote
Web & App Developer @ University & Freelance
Aug 2020 – Present- Built full-stack web applications with SvelteKit, React, and Node.js, using Prisma and Supabase Postgres for persistence.
- Shipped Route Zero, a Pokémon TCG binder, wishlist, and owned-only deck builder with live catalog search and market-value tracking.
- Built Extra Innings, a Next.js App Router MLB companion with a typed Stats API client, live scores, standings, and season leaders.
- Integrated third-party APIs (Pokémon TCG API, PokeAPI, OpenWeather, Stripe) to power core product features under real rate-limit constraints.
- Implemented authentication and data models with better-auth and Prisma, including form validation and client/server state.
- Deployed to Vercel and Netlify with CI/CD and environment-based configuration.
